Amazing acoustic musicianship covering bluegrass to folk on mandolin, banjo, fiddle, guitar and vocals.
Coal river Ukulele mob
as guests of The Rusticators
Coal River Ukulele Mob (CRUM) was established in 2024, and is now over 20 members strong. What the group might lack in experience, they certainly make up for with enthusiasm. Since their first “gig” at the Richmond Lantern Walk, they have gone on to bigger and better things like the Red Cross Morning Tea and the Cygnet Folk Festival.
Sometimes accompanied by double bass, guitar and drums, the CRUM repertoire is as diverse as its members. Expect folk, country, nostalgic hits from the past, contemporary classics and some original tunes.
If they don’t make you smile, you don’t have a heart.

pete cornelius
From 7.30pm
Tasmanian singer-songwriter Pete Cornelius has been captivating audiences with his authentic blues, roots, and Americana sound for over 25 years. At just 41, Pete’s music tells the story of a life lived fully, deeply connected to the raw, rugged soul of Tasmania. His live performances are nothing short of electrifying, with a dynamic band of guitar, bass, and drums delivering a stripped-back, powerful sound. Pete has played some of Australia’s most iconic festivals, including Bluesfest, Gympie Muster, and Blues on Broadbeach, and taken his music internationally to festivals like Taste of Chicago and the Prairie Dog Blues Festival in Wisconsin. Pete’s latest album, Southern (released February 7, 2025), debuted at #1 on the ARIA Country Charts. Co-produced with Matt Fell, the album features collaborations with Tasmania’s finest artists, including Claire Anne Taylor and Ange Boxall. In 2025, Pete continues his festival run, with performances lined up at Cygnet Folk Festival (TAS), Girrakool Blues Festival (NSW), Blues On Broadbeach (QLD) and more. Pete’s music remains a passionate, authentic reflection of life, love, and the spirit of Tasmania.
